죠셉・지운타

죠셉・지운타(Joseph Giunta, 1911년 7월 5일- 2001년 10월 11일)는, 캐나다의 화가[¹].

몬트리올에서 태어난다.14세부터 그림을 그리기 시작해 에코르・데・보자르・드・몬트리올에서 배워, 아드리안・에베이르나 조니・죤스튼등으로부터 가르침을 받았다.또, 보스턴, 프랑스나 이탈리아에 유학 해, 20세부터 화가로서 활동을 시작했다.당초는 도안 장식적인 회화를 제작하고 있었지만, 1958년부터 액션・페인팅을 시도해 1971년부터는 기하학적이고 바로크적인 조형도 실시하게 되었다.1974년부터는 유기적인 콜라주・페인팅도 시험하게 되어, 이것은 몬트리르로 돌아가실 때까지의 지운타의 화풍으로서 정착했다.
