천문대 개관

망원경

아르히호르트 천문대(Archenhold Observatory)는 베를린, 트레프트우 공원에 있는 천문대에서, 창립자 흘리드릿히・아르히호르트(Friedrich Simon Archenhold)의 이름을 붙일 수 있고 있다.길이 21 m의 굴절 망원경이 있는 것으로 알려져 있다.

1896년 5월 1일의 베를린 산업 박람회로의 공개를 위해서 트레프트우 천문대로서 개설되었다.아르히호르트의 설계에 의한 당시 세계 최장의 망원경이 만들어졌다.렌즈 직경은 65 cm이다.1946년의 50주년으로 아르히호르트 천문대라고 명명해졌다.1958년부터 1983년간의 수리를 위해 가동할 수 없는 기간을 제외하고 운전 가능한 상태로 되고 있다.
