니가키과(Simaroubaceae)는 쌍자엽 식물의 과로, 종래의 분류(크로키스트 체계등 )로는 20속 150종 정도 있다.

모두 키모토로, 세계의 열대・아열대 등에 분포한다.일본에는 니가키가 자생한다.잎은 대부분이 깃 같은 모양 복엽.꽃은 방사 상칭,3-5수성으로, 많게는 심피가 리생(암술대는 아이오이) 한다.자웅별의 소형의 꽃으로 산방・총상등의 꽃차례를 재배하는 것이 많다.

쿠와시노이드(Quassinoid)와 총칭되는 변형 테르페노이드를 포함해, 이것에 의해 약용(건위약등 )으로 하는 것으로서 니가키나 쿠왓샤(Quassia)등이 있다.

중국 원산의 니와우르시는 정원수나 가로수로서 재배되었지만, 생장이 빠르고 세계적으로 야생화하고 있다.

새로운 APG 식물분류 체계로는 종래의 니가키과와 범위가 달라, 피크람니아과(남미에 분포하는 2속 50종 정도)등이 별과로서 분류되어 구레이트네리아과등이 니가키과에 포함할 수 있고 있다.
