mademoiselle

mademoiselle 또는 마드모와젤(불: mademoiselle[¹])은, 프랑스어로 미혼(독신)의 여성을 가리키는 경칭의 단수형이다.영어의 Miss(영문판)에 해당된다.

개요

「 나의 것」이라고 하는 의미의 mon(영어의 my에 해당한다)의 여성 단수형"ma"와 「아가씨」라고 하는 의미의"demoiselle"(영어의 girl에 해당한다)가 결합한 말이다.mademoiselle의 복수형은"ma"및"demoiselle"의 각각이 복수형이 되어 메드모와젤(불: mesdemoiselles[²])이 된다.일본어에 대해 mademoiselle의 사용은 볼 수 있지만, 메드모와젤의 사용은 희귀.
