제임스・퍼거슨(James Ferguson, 1797년 8월 31일- 1867년 9월 26일)은, 아메리카 합중국의 천문학자.스코틀랜드 출신.

1847년부터 워싱턴 D.C.의 미국 해군 천문대에서 근무해, 생애로 3개의 소행성을 발견했다.그 중의(31) 에우후로시네는, 미국인에 의해서 발견된 최초의 소행성이다.

소행성(1745) 퍼거슨은, 그를 기념하여 이름 붙여졌다.
