포락카

포락카의 Antoine Roux

포락카(Polacca)란, 17 세기에 지중해에서 사용된 지벡을 닮은 범선이다.이름의 유래는 이탈리아어의 「Polish」.

3개의 심플한 마스트(연결해 맞추지 않은 1개의 나무의 봉)를 가져, 크게 앞쪽으로 기움 한 포 마스트에는 라텐세일, 미즌마스트에는 가후세일이나 라텐세일, 그리고 메인 마스트에는 유럽에서 잘 사용되는 횡범을 가지고 있었다.

포락카를 그린 그림안에는, 갤리와 같은 외관으로 십범장의 것(혹은 때로는 최후미만 라텐세일의 것)도 존재한다.이와 같이, 「포락카」라고 하는 통칭은, 범장의 구분보다 오히려 마스트와 외관에 대한 구분이라고 할 수 있다.
