존・에바스(Sir John Evans, 1823년 11월 17일- 1908년 5월 31일)는 영국의 고고학자, 지질학자이다.

박킨감샤의 Britwell Court에, Market Bosworth 글래머 스쿨의 교장의 아들로서 태어났다.제지회사의 사장을 맡으면서, 골동품, 고전의 수집가로서 유명하게 되었다.「고대 영국의 화폐」(The Coins of the Ancient Britons:1864), 「고대 영국의 석기, 무기, 장식품」(The Ancient Stone Implements, Weapons and Ornaments of Great Britain :1872), 「고대 영국, 아일랜드의 청동기, 무기, 장식품」(The Ancient Bronze Implements, Weapons and Ornaments of Great Britain and Ireland:1881)을 저술했다.

골동품 협회(Numismatic Society), 런던 지질학회, 인류학 연구소(영문판), 화학공업 협회(영문판)등의 회장을 맡았다.

1880년, 런던 지질학회로부터 라이엘・메달을 수상했다.

아들 아서・에반즈는 쿠레타섬의 쿠놋소스 유적을 발굴한 것으로 유명한 고고학자이다.
