크루크마・샤롬

크루크마・샤롬(학명, Curcuma alismatifolia)은 크루크마・아리스마티포리아의 속칭으로서 알려진다.단지 크루크마라고도.동남아시아 원산으로, 타이의 북부나 캄보디아 등에 분포하는, 생강이나 우콘의 동료.꽃이 아름답게 일본에서는 주로 관상용으로서 이용된다.

원산국의 타이에서는 특히 체이야품현의 파・힌감 국립공원의 자생이 특히 유명하고, 동현의 현화로도 되어 있다.현지에서는 특히 쿠라치아오(□□□□□□□□), 카민코크(□□□□□□□□), 드크아오(□□□□□□, 북부 방언)등으로 불려 관상용으로서보다, 오히려 뿌리를 카레가루로서 사용하거나 약용으로서 이용하거나 한다.

일본에서는, 오사카꽃박람회에서 출품된 이래, 타이로부터 구근이 수입되어 관상용으로서 넓게 재배되게 되었다.30℃이상으로 발아해, 실내에서도 재배할 수 있다.또 꽃꽃이용 꽃가지로서도 사용된다.
