오마레스

오마레스(희：Ομ□ρη□, 라틴 문자 전기：Omares,? -기원 전 334년)은 아케메네스아침 페르시아의 장군이다.

오마레스는 기원 전 334년에 아렉산트로스 3세 인솔하는 마케도니아군이 소아시아에 침공해 왔을 때, 다른 장군이나 소아시아 각지의 태수들과 함께 그것을 그라니코스강에서 맞아 싸웠다.오마레스는 이 때 그리스인 용병 부대를 인솔하고 있었지만, 페르시아의 지휘관들은 용병 부대를 후방에 두어 스스로의 기병 부대만으로 싸우려고 했다.그러나, 페르시아의 기병 부대는 깨져 패주 해, 남겨진 용병 부대는 적에게 포위되어 괴멸 당했다.이 싸움으로는 오마레스 자신을 포함한 많은 페르시아의 장관이 전쟁에 패해서 죽는 것한[¹].
