NGC 6369는, 뱀 사용해 자리의 혹성상성운이다.윌리엄・하-쉘이 발견한[²].「작은 유령 성운」[³][⁴](Little Ghost Nebula[²])(이)라고도 불린다.

둥글게 혹성의 형태이며, 비교적 어둡다.혹성상성운은, 혹성과는 전혀 관련이 없지만, 그 대신 태양과 같은 항성의 생애의 마지막으로, 외층이 날려 버려지고 핵이 줄어들어 백색 난장이별이 되어, 형성된다.

성운의 중심 부근으로 보이는 백색 난장이별은, 강렬한 자외선을 방출해, 성운의 성장에 에너지를 준다.성운의 환구조는, 직경 약 1 광년으로, 전리한 산소, 수소, 질소는 각각 청색, 녹색, 적색에 빛난다.
