대니코발섬

대니코발섬(Great Nicobar)은 니코발 제도 남부의 섬.니코발 제도에서 최대의 섬이며, 인도양 동부에 위치한다.행정면에서는 인도의 안다만・니코발 제도에 속해, 인도령의 최남단이기도 하다.

면적은 1,045평방 킬로미터, 최고소의 표고는 642 m.열대 우림에 덮인 식생이 되고 있어 섬의 대부분은 자연 보호구가 되고 있다.2004년의 수마트라 시마오키 지진에 수반하는 해일로는 큰 피해를 받고 있다.
