라우라・밧시

Laura Bassi

라우라・밧시(Laura Bassi, 1711년 10월 31일- 1778년 2월 20일)는 이탈리아의 여성 물리학자, 과학자.유럽의 대학에서 처음으로 교수가 된 여성이다.

볼로냐에, 법률가의 딸(아가씨)로 태어났다.1731년에 볼로냐 대학의 해부학의 교수로 임명되었다.1738년에 결혼해 12명의 아이를 낳았지만, 뉴턴 역학에 관심을 가져, 1776년에 65세에 물리학의 교수에 복귀했다.
