고엽제(초록)

고엽제(초록) (Agent Green)는, 아메리카 합중국이 베트남 전쟁으로 사용한, 강력한 제초제・고엽제의 하나의 코드네임.

이름은, 용기에 초록의 줄무늬가 있는 것에 연관된다.고엽제(오렌지, Agent Orange)를 포함한, 무지개 고엽제(w:rainbow herbicides)의 하나.

1962 - 1964년에 사용되었다.

2,4,5-새 클로로 페녹시 초산(페녹시계 제초제의 하나, 고엽제전종의 성분)
2,4,5-T의 부산물
다이옥신、 2,3,7,8-테트라크로로지벤조파라지오키신(2,3,7,8-TCDD, TCDD)　

에이전트・핑크(고엽제)와 같이, 2,4,5-T가 성분의 대부분에서 만난 때문, 오렌지제의 몇배의 다이옥신을 포함하고 있었다.

입고병/파나마병을 일으키는 후자리움 속균류도, Agent Green로 불린다.
