Alert Standard Format

Alert Standard Format(ASF)는, 컴퓨터에 대해 OS가 동작하고 있지 않는 환경의 원격 조정과 경보 인터페이스를 정의하는 사양이다.

네트워크 프로토콜(RMCP등 ), Firmware 인터페이스(ACPI, SMBIOS, SMBus Serial EEPROM), 메시지 형식등으로부터 구성되어 있어 OS의 동작과는 관계없이, PC나 서버의 기동・정지・강제 재기동을 제어하거나 PC나 서버의 구성부품의 이상을 검지할 수 있다.

인텔과 IBM가, 1997년에 공동 개발한 Alert on LAN(AoL)이 원형으로 여겨져 표준화 단체인 DMTF에 의해 2001년에 ASF1. 03, 2003년에 ASF2. 0이 릴리스 되었다.

델, IBM, 인텔, 후지쯔등의 기기로 전부 또는 일부가 채용되고 있다.
