Liberty Hyde Bailey

리버티・하이드・베이 리(Liberty Hyde Bailey, 1858년 3월 15일 – 1954년 12월 25일)은, 아메리카 합중국의 농학자, 식물학자인[¹].미국의 농업 확장 사업에 공헌했다.

약력

미시간주의 사우스하-벤의 농민 삼남으로서 태어났다.미시간 농업 대학( 후의 미시간 주립 대학)을 1882년에 졸업해, 다음 해 하버드 대학의 유명한 식물학자 에이서・그레이 조수가 된[²].2년간 그레이 표본실의 조수를 맡았다.
