개럿・혼고우(Garrett Kaoru Hongo, 1951년- )는, 아메리카 합중국 하와이주 출생의 일본계 미국인4세의 학자, 시인.일미간의 역사나 자신의 경험을 저술해 퓰리처어워즈에 노미네이트 된[1].

경력

오리건 대학에서 문예의 교수가 되었다.1989년부터 1993년, 대학의 Program in Creative Writing의 director였다.

시의 서적 「Yellow Light」(1982년), 「The River of Heaven」(1988년)의 2권을 발표해, Academy of American Poets의 레이몬트 시인상을 수상해, 퓰리처어워즈시부문의 최종 전형에 남은[1].「Volcano: A Memoir of Hawai'i」(1995년)은 2006년의 오리건 서적상의 문예 논픽션 부문을 수상했다.와카코・야마우치의 「Songs My Mother Taught Me: Stories, Plays and Memoir」(1994년), 및 「The Open Boat: Poems from Asian America」(1993년)의 편집을 행했다.
