벨나르・리요

벨나르・페르디난・리요(Bernard Ferdinand Lyot, 1897년 2월 27일- 1952년 4월 2일)는, 프랑스의 천문학자.결정판에 의한 간섭을 이용한 매우 좁은 파장역의 빛만을 투과 하는 광학 필터(리요・필터)를 개발한 것으로 알려진다.태양의 천문학 등에 공헌했다.

생애

파리에서 태어났다.고등 전기 학교(Ecole Superieure d'Electricite)에서 배운 후, 에코르・포리테크니크로 알프레드・페로의 조수를 맡으면서, 파리 대학에서 물리, 화학을 배웠다.

1920년부터 1952년까지 무돈 천문대에서 연구했다.1930년대부터 태양 코로나의 연구를 위한 장치 코로나그래프를 개발해, 일식시 이외에도 코로나의 관측을 할 수 있게 되었다.1938년에 코로나, 걸작의 움직임을 취한 동영상화를 취하는 것에 성공했다.

1952년에 일식 관측대로서 수단에 향한 귀도, 카이로에서 심장 마비로 55세에 급사했다.
